im sure we all have heard about the vodacom meerkat, and have an opinion about it.
an important aspect of ones brand is to monitor how your consumers feel about you.vodacom, should put their ear to the ground, esp with its youth market.facebook.com. an online marketing community, with a following as large as myspace.com is increasingly popular with youth all over the world, and increasingly south africa. its interesting to see that one of them started a group entitled "I f***ing hate the animated meerkat from Vodacom".it has 4000 members in counting,all of whom leave msgs upon joining the group.vodacom wake up and loose the meerkat!
