Recruiting students and empowering them

I'm currently a 2nd year imm marketing student and im concerned about 1 thing... intern programmes... ive been looking for either intern programmes or some way to get into the marketing field in any industry that can offer me a challenge but the challenge seems to be finding companies that can take in students to show us the ropes.. from my 1st year till now ive been approaching companies to no avail nothing has come up and the only sensible thing to do now is for 1 to become an entrepreneur and that itself takes alot and has more barriers than finding a job.. i'd like to open this forum to marketing,advetising,sales etc. etc. students who are facing the same problem as i am aswell as to company directors, owmers etc. to share their experiences and maybe come up with a solution of some sort
