Bank advertising
Is it just me or is the latest spate of banking advertisements on radio a perfect reflection of just how condescending banks are?
The first for Old Mutual Bank offers clients "Sweeties" for saving with them.
The second, Nedbank Business Bank has a bank employee telling an adult client to "mind the big machines" the way a mother would tell a small child "mind the big machines".
How patronising can you get? But hey, full marks for transparency I guess. That's just the way they view their customers coming out in their advertising.
