Has plagiarism won over creativity?

Has anyone seen the new generator website (www.generator.co.za)? Check out www.2advanced.com

Generator recently announced their new website. Designers far and wide flocked to see and marvel at the fantastic design. Unfortunately many flash lovers worship 2advanced, a US based studio which has produced some great results.

The Generator site structure, layout and a few concepts are basically copied directly from the 2advanced site.

I'll give Generator this, the design changes they have made are great, but i just question whether this may be a bad thing for South African creativity. What happens if our global audience picks this up? Will the rest of us be labeled as copy cats?

I say innovate don't imitate - what do the rest of you think?
