Radio in GP
mzansi radio in general has taken quite a bit of a knock interms of living off radio personalities who have passed their sell-by date (case in point phat joe, eddie zondi, entire north west fm lineup etc) while at the same time failing to identify and nurture new talent that will take the radio industry to new heights. at the same time a lot of radio personalities are not offering anything new interms of creativity etc and instead are recycling and sticking to tried and tested ideas.
what is the solution to this and what needs to be done to rejuvenate a stagnant industry.
if you look at it only a few radio stations have brought in and groomed fresh new talent (5fm, yfm. are we running out of new radio personalities or are programmers become even more lazy to go and find new talent?
give me your thoughts?
