Springbok Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Since when have the Springboks become kids dolls?
Having watched the Sasol TV commercial that has just broken for the Springboks, I have to say it is pretty poor. I cannot believe that anyone would think that the association with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a good one.
The Springboks are real men made of flesh and blood. Action heroes are something else - especially plastic dolls. Come on Sasol and the Springboks, this is just bad.
The execution is great and the guys probably had fun making it, but I get the uneasy feeling that they look a little embarrased about it all. I certainly am for them.
Just do some good advertising and stop trying to be so clever. It plain doesn't work .
