Conferations Cup Hype?
I'm really concerned about the lack of hype around conferations cup. I've seen one ad on Supersport and a few street billboards around Pretoria and some of the other host city's I've visited. I've been expecting more though considering this is the first ever event of it's type hosted on African soil.
IPL was moved to SA and in a very short space of time we've been bombarded with advertising in all forms. This has obviously turned out huge crowds to the events which has made it a overwhelming success.
So what is the issue with Conferations Cup, where is the effort and creativity around that?
Are my expectations too high or is there a serious issue around the way in which confderations cup has been marketed, advertised and promoted?
I'd really like to get other people's thoughts on this.
