International AME Awards announces 2015 call for entries
The AME Awards® competition is now accepting entries. Since 1994, the AME Awards has honoured campaigns worldwide that successfully demonstrate groundbreaking solutions to challenging marketing problems.
This year the AME competition launched several category updates to showcase technological trends brands employ to connect with consumers. Updates in the Use of Discipline group include Augmented Reality, Technology, and Social TV. The new Augmented Realty category will recognise the marketer's ability to engage the consumer throughout the sales cycle via apps that encourage consumer interaction with brands via their mobile device. The newly unveiled Technology category will honour creative campaigns that employ new technology or showcase innovative ways to use existing technology on behalf of the brand, and Social TV will salute effective strategies using the technological union of television and social media. Additional Category updates include Use of Medium: Website and Products & Services: Luxury Items.
"The AME Awards dedication to evaluating new trends and technologies that engage consumers have led to strategic changes aimed at recognising and showcasing the World's Best Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness," commented Alisun Armstrong, Executive Director, AME Awards. "It is AME's goal to honour campaigns that achieve specific marketing goals, coupled with an innovative solution to a marketing challenge accomplished through creative execution and critical planning."
The 2015 AME Grand Jury of interactive and multidisciplinary marketers, media planners, strategy directors, social media experts, and creatives will evaluate entries based on four specific criteria, each weighted by importance: Challenge/Strategy/Objectives - 20%; Creativity - 25%; Execution - 25%; and Results/Effectiveness - 30%.
The AME jury awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze to the highest scoring entries through two rounds of regional judging to account for cultural and economic relevance. This round also selects the AME Green Award winner - the highest scoring, Gold-winning entry for a company whose emphasis is on resource conservation and negative environmental impact. Gold-winning work from all regions is judged by the full international Grand Jury to determine a Platinum Award for each of the five regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia Pacific) and the International Grand AME Award.
In 2014, the AME Grand Jury presented the top-honour AME Grand Award to JaymeSyfu, Philippines. Saatchi & Saatchi LA/North America; Heimat Werbeagentur GmbH Germany/Europe; and Leo Burnett Tailor Made, Brazil/Latin America each earned AME Regional Platinum Awards.
