The premiere of the Crazy Monkey movie Straight Outta Benoni, held at the Ster-Kinekor East Rand Mall in - where else? - Benoni, saw 1 500 guests celebrate the launch of the local movie which promises to be a box-office hit.
5FM was the principal sponsor and the venue was filled with 5FM personalities, all the cast from the movie, the musicians (including local rock act The Finkelstiens) who made up the soundtrack, TV personalities, celebrities, business leaders and media. Francois Pienaar was there. And so was Barry Ronge, Jenny Crwys-Williams, Heinz Winkler, Kurt Darren, David Kau, Tshepo Mogale and Tamara Dey.
