In 2004 the judges' figures were the final figures, however, there were qualitative factors that caused discrepancies. The 2005 qualitative judging process was implemented to combat this and the 2006 judging process aims to take yet another step forward.
In the scoring of stands and exhibitions, 2006 will see criteria marked out of 100, with the exception of the 'Visual impact' criterion which will be out of 200. The changes will bring the total to 1 000, which will allow the calculation of results to be more straightforward. As an additional change, 'Housekeeping' has been replaced with 'Functionality'.
It was decided that a 70% result be the cut off level for a stand or exhibition to be eligible for the EXSA Annual Awards.
