The Star celebrates local workers
The Star newspaper's photography team has compiled a photo series to be featured in today's newspaper to commemorate Worker's Day ahead of the public holiday.
Snapped across Johannesburg, the series features the type of workers that are often overlooked, such as cigarette vendors and shoemakers, with a special focus on women doing those jobs “that are still stereotypically viewed as men’s jobs”, such as firefighters and Gautrain drivers, explains IOL.
