Sinclair on brand equity

South African brand guru, Professor Roger Sinclair of BrandMetrics, has been invited by Professor Kevin Kane Keller, professor of marketing at Dartmouth University in the US, to write a section on financial accounting for the third edition of his book, Strategic Brand Management - a global authority on brand equity.

Keller is recognised as a leading brand academic in the world and is also the new co-author, with Philip Kotler, of Marketing Management (10th edition).

Keller has asked Sinclair to write about the developments in the accounting world that impact on bands.

Explains Sinclair: "As you will have read from our news updates, these are substantial and the implications for managing brands are huge. Keller will also be featuring a description of the BrandMetrics methodology... This is a great feather in [our] and South Africa's hat."

This is significant recognition for Sinclair and the BrandMetrics model.
