Business leaders gather on Nelson Mandela Bridge for the CEO SleepOut

Some of the notable participants who will be rising to the challenge include crime activist Yusuf Abramjee, c-suite members Mteto Nyati from MTN South Africa, Alon Lits from Uber Technologies, and Nicky Newton-King from JSE Limited. Public Protector and CEO SleepOut brand ambassador, Thuli Madonsela, will also be playing her vital part on the bridge.
This year, the CEOs won’t be alone. They will bring with them an Exceptional Colleague, Outstanding Student, and Inspirational Matric Learner; the #4Leaders4Change. As the event focuses on education as a means to eradicate homelessness, the beneficiary partners – Asha Trust, Columba Leadership, and The Steve Biko Foundation – have been selected as they work tirelessly to educate our youth and youth educators.
Along with the main event on the bridge, 2016 also sees a number of satellite events taking place around the country, where companies, universities, and schools can also SleepOut (at their office, university or school grounds) at the Sympathy, Student or School SleepOuts, in solidarity with the #4Leaders4Change in a national call to action #SouthAfricaMustRise. They will collect items for a chosen beneficiary in need.
