Large format printers from Canon distributor

Large format industry specialist, Applied Imaging, has been appointed as an official distributor for Canon Business Solutions' large format printers for the South African marketplace.

Tony Bartlett, MD of Applied Imaging says that Canon is designed to offer a solution-set for the large format industry, which, he says, provides his company and its resellers with the opportunity to make inroads in the marketplace. “We have already supplied Colortrac, an OEM large format Canon scanner and we will be part of the company's newly focussed channel model to pursue large format printer business within the local industry,” he says.

Mark Geldenhuys, GM of Canon Business Solutions South Africa, said that Applied Imaging is a well-established large format printer player with an entrenched customer-base and they have a strong synergy with his company.

Canon's large format solution offering is built on the company's tradition in image reproduction and detailed knowledge of large format production. The company's products are designed to offer an extensive variety of applications - from proofing to sign making, fine arts and CAD/GIS - all combining colour ink jet reproduction with fast print speeds and ease-of-use.
