Look4me in a bus

To create mass-market awareness for its cellphone tracking service, Look4me, Vodacom embarked on an extensive ComutaNet bus advertising campaign to get its message across to the mass commuter and pedestrian market.

Seventy-five Vodacom branded ComutaNet buses can be seen nationally on all major arterial routes until June 2005. "Buses are an extremely cost efficient and effective advertising vehicle," says Brian Lindquist, Sales & Marketing Director for ComutaNet. "Vodacom's Look4me visuals are particularly striking and deliver a clear message to the audience, making this a high impact campaign. After 12 months there will be very few in the target market who have not been exposed to the Vodacom Look4me communication."

The message displayed on the buses informs Vodacom customers that Look4me is now available to prepaid customers ensuring piece of mind for users who want to know where consenting family members or friends are at any particular time. The fact that no person can be tracked without his or her specific consent and knowledge has added to Look4me's popularity.
