Oracle restructures

Oracle Airtime Sales has restructured its business into several business units, due to the anticipated changes in the future television trading environment, along with the explosion of content options and New Media opportunities. These departments are intended to focus on a specific area of Oracle's expertise.

The Client Sales Department will manage client/agency relationships and be headed up by Dave Frankel, (General Manager: Client Sales) who will be assisted by Mike Luscombe (Assistant General Manager: Client Sales).

Product Sales & Development will focus on products including Local Productions, Customised Shows, Infomercials and New Media. Jeanette Honiball (GM: Product Sales & Development) and Andre Stadler (Assistant General Manager: PS&D) will look after this area of business.

Content Sales will specialise in identifying, selling and managing specific content opportunities and will consists of the following four divisions:
1. General Entertainment and Specialist Channels, which will be managed by Tracey Hawkridge.
2. Sport, News and International Channels will be headed up by Fahmeeda Cassim-Surtee.
3. Kids, Youth and Music Channels will be managed by Lucasta Stephen.
4. Oracle's Africa business, which is managed by Gavin Ritchie.

Sales Strategy will be headed up by Lorina Botha, who will facilitate and manage strategic projects across Oracle's business.

Explains Sales Director, Chris Hitchings, "This revised structure brings more focus to critical areas of our business, ensures that we are positioned to manage future industry changes, and eliminates potential areas of duplication".

The move also follows the recent joining together of the Airtime Sales and Innovision components of Oracle's business to form a single business unit.
