Happy fifth birthday, MTV Africa

To celebrate its fifth birthday, MTV Africa is having a celebrity bash at Urban Tree, Sandton on Friday 5 March 2010. The party features South Africa's top music celebrities, who will all bring a birthday present for a children's charity, and 10 lucky winners of VIP tickets.

Headlining the party will be The Parlotones, South African hip-hop royalty and MTV Africa Music Award winners Jozi, hip-hop MC Pro-Kid and award-winning hip-hop trio Teargas. Electro-dance mavericks Flash Republic, fronted by a radiant Tamara Dey, will be showcasing their crowd-pleasing performance skills.

Presiding over the proceedings will be veteran MTV VJs Sizwe Dhlomo and Fikile ‘FIX' Moeti. Rounding out the evening and working the crowd into frenzy with some high-octane deck action will be hip-hop/R&B aficionado DJ Milkshake, DJ Kent, Hype Awards Best DJ of 2010, DJ Switch and DJ Biz, resident DJ at MTV base Nights.

Guests include City Bowl Mizers, DJ Euphonik, Josie Field, Skwatta Kamp, Prime Circle, Cassette, Jamali, Gang of Instrumentals, Skomplazi, TKZee, Loyiso and Bola.
