SA Tourism CEO suspended pending allegations

The Board of South African Tourism's has resolved to investigate these allegations, which have been received through its anonymous tip-offs reporting mechanism.

The nature of the allegations have not been made clear.

In order to conduct a free and fair investigation, the Board has decided to place the CEO on precautionary suspension, to allow time for the CEO to focus on responding to the allegations.

Sthembiso Dlamini has been appointed as the acting CEO so that the work of the organisation continues smoothly, guaranteeing the urgent filling of the vacant senior executive position to ensure the scheduled Africa’s Travel Indaba from 2-4 May 2019 is delivered.

Further comment will be made once the matter has been finalised.
