Tebogo Matima for SAfm's Morning Talk

As part of the refreshed SAfm lineup effective 1 April 2008, Tebogo Matima has taken over the airwaves as presenter of Morning Talk on SAfm, 9am – 12 noon on weekdays. The new lineup is accompanied by some changes to SAfm's female-orientated programming, too.

Matima is an experienced broadcaster with talk radio experience from commercial stations. Listeners can look forward to his insights as the host of one of the station's signature programmes.

Otherwise with Nancy Richards has been extended to an hour. The female perspective will be presented from 1pm – 2pm on weekdays and this will be followed by a “dynamite package” of Afternoon Talk from 2pm – 4pm with Thabiso Sikwane.

The weekday evening lineup now brings listeners the opportunity to engage in “hard talk” with author, TV personality and well-known social commentator Eric Myeni. Evening Talk on SAfm will be hosted weekdays from 7pm – 9pm. Myeni's punchy, off-the-cuff presenting style is intended to shake up the airwaves and get listeners tackling issues head on.

The station's specialist programmes in Law, Health, Earth Science, Travel & Tourism, and the Arts will be presented weekdays from 9pm – 10pm. Jon Gericke of SAfm Sports Special fame will present Nightime Music Mondays to Thursdays, 10pm – midnight.
Weekends on SAfm will also be rejuvenated. Ike Phaahla will serenade aficionados with the smooth tones of The Best of Jazz to be hosted on Friday nights (10pm – midnight) and Saturday nights from 9pm – midnight. Astute classical music lovers can unwind with Simon Lomberg on Sundays, 9pm – midnight.

Mandla Shongwe will take care of all early risers as he presents Heads Up every weekday, 4am – 6pm.

The complete updated programme schedule will also be available on www.safm.co.za.
