Wines from the mountains above the Rift Valley

Kenya is emerging as one of Africa's newest winemakers, producing fine wines from high above the Rift Valley where Kenya Nut is growing vineyards alongside its macadamia nut and cashew nut trees.

The Leleshwa Sauvignon Blanc is on sale in local supermarkets at 540Ksh a bottle (about US$6/R42) and the reaction to the wine has been encouraging.
