Premier Hotels & Resorts' Mpongo Private Game Reserve, located only 35km from popular coastal city East London and offering inspiring game viewing experiences, has recently opened two additional lodges to accommodate an increase in both leisure and business travellers.
Indlovu Lodge and Umthombe Bush Villa, designed by architect Andrew Powells and interior designer Paolo Falconner, are decorated with a Colonial feel.
The six bedroom Umthombe Bush Villa can be booked out as a complete unit for families and is equally suitable for executive groups.
Indlovu Lodge, with its 19 rooms and two dormitories that provide space for up to 40 people, is a superb venue for conference groups and weddings.
“Both lodges provide guests with the ultimate comfort whilst they enjoy breath-taking views of the reserve,” shares Martin Janse van Rensburg, hospitality general manager at Mpongo Private Game Reserve. The new lodges form part of an R18 million development and refurbishment to enhance the Premier Hotels & Resorts’ Mpongo Private Game Reserve offerings. The renovations include upgrades for the restaurant, enhancements to the Edu-Centre and new administration offices.
Home to African animals such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, numerous antelope and bird species, the Reserve has a unique blend of luxury and wildlife experiences on more than 3,500 hectares of conservation land.
With its rolling hills, river valleys and luscious surroundings, it caters to the heart of even the keenest eco-tourist with a treasure chest of beauty, rugged terrain, and untouched land.
