Following the previous acquisition of the 50% share capital held by Alteo Group a few months ago, Sun Resorts now owns, directly and indirectly, 100% of the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, which will continue to be managed by the Four Seasons Group over the long term.
With this transaction, Sun Resorts is strengthening its strategic partnership with the Four Seasons Group, the international five-star luxury hotel management company, with 92 hotels amongst the top luxury hotels in 38 countries.
Sun Resorts thereby reaffirms its commitment to the development strategy initiated in 2014, which includes partnering leading hotel groups while further expanding its own hotel portfolio.
"The acquisition of this hotel, which has been achieving exceptional results despite the difficult conditions prevailing in the Mauritian hotel industry these past years, not only illustrates the ambition that we have for Sun Resorts, it also provides us with very strong strategic assets. It will also positively impact on our group's profitability while contributing to our future growth," said Philippe Cassis, CEO of Sun Resorts.
