New Holiday Inn Express opens in Bangkok
Just 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and with a central location in the Sathorn business district, Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn is in the heart of the city and close to all the major international corporate offices, as well as the vibrant Silom area, which is famous for its shopping, dining and entertainment.
"Opening our second Holiday Inn Express property in the centre of Thailand's capital offers both business and leisure guests an amazing opportunity to stay in an ideal location, whether visiting the city for work or to absorb the diverse and colourful culture, electric nightlife and famous cuisine. Last year, Thailand achieved record numbers of tourist arrivals, with over 26 million visitors from around the world, making the country an important part of our growth strategy in South East Asia," said Clarence Tan, COO South East Asia and resorts, IHG.
Owned by the Thai conglomerate TCC Hotels Group, it will be the first Holiday Inn Express hotel to be owned by the group, which also owns InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels under IHG's brand portfolio.
Quick access to commuter links
Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn has quick access to commuter links with the Chong Non Sri BTS skytrain stop only two minutes away, which will take travellers directly to destinations such as Siam Paragon, one of Asia's largest shopping complexes, or the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). From the hotel, guests can take a leisurely walk to the Chao Phraya River with its exciting markets and temples, including The Emerald Buddha Temple and museum in a matter of minutes.

The Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn is the eighth Holiday Inn Express to open in South East Asia, less than two years after the brand made its debut in the region. The new hotel joins the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam and the Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong Beach Central as the third property in Thailand, which will soon be followed by the Holiday Inn Express Sukhumvit 11, which is slated to open later this year.
