Locnville's new album and tour
The 20-year-old identical twins, Andrew and Brian Chapman, who form Cape Town pop duo Locnville, will perform two local concerts at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on Friday, 6 August and the GrandWest Grand Arena on Sunday, 8 August, 2010, to promote their debut album "Sun in my Pocket".
The brothers caught the attention of record producers at Sony Records who will be releasing their album worldwide next month. The title track has raced to the top of the local charts and the album has already sold over 40 000 copies since its release in February this year.
Charlie Chaplin
Andrew and Brian are related to Charlie Chaplin through their American mother. Shortly after their birth in New York City, their South African father relocated the family to Cape Town, where the brothers grew up.
They describe themselves as singer-songwriter, drummer guitarists whose early music influence came from the bands Pink Floyd and Oasis.
Tickets are available from Computicket and prices range from R115 to R169. Shows start at 8pm.
