The Parlotones SA Tour April 2009

"A World Next Door To Yours" tour will visit Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein and the ‘Big Top Arena' at Carnival City, Gauteng. On 18 April, SA's pop rock phenomenon, The Parlotones, proudly return home to play the final shows of their two month, three continent, international musical venture.

The Parlotones begin the tour in North America - the USA leg includes the band's first performance in New York City, along with showcases at the 2009 ‘South by South West' Music and Media Conference (Austin, Texas) and Canadian Music Week (Toronto).

Starsailor have reciprocated to Kahn inviting them to be part of last October's “Powerzone Unplugged Festival” in SA, by insisting that The Parlotones join them on their 2009 UK tour. Lots of towns in England - Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Oxford, Leeds, Wolverhampton, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Norwich and two dates in London. Shows in Ireland allow The Parlotones to return to Dublin and Belfast as well as Glasgow in Scotland.

The tour is based on The Parlotones platinum selling album "A World Next Door To Yours" - the catalyst for the current ‘Parlotone-mania' on the southern tip of Africa.

Wonderboom join the South African leg as special guests and The Black Hotels will open proceedings - both groups have albums due for release later in the year.
