Henry Ate to open for Texas in CPT, JHB
South African band Henry Ate will open for Texas at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town on 8 December 2017 and the Emmarentia Gardens in Johannesburg on 10 December 2017.
This will be the first time that Henry Ate will perform as a full band since 2006. The band promises to deliver a set that will feature fan favourites like Just, Hey Mister, Henry, and many more.
Karma-Ann Swanepoel achieved national success in late 1996 with the release of her debut album Slap In The Face under the moniker Henry Ate. Henry Ate spent much of the late 1990s and early 2000s releasing albums, touring the world, and performing alongside legends like Skunk Anansie.
In 2010, Swanepoel went into the studio with Grammy award-winning engineer Francis Buckley to record alongside several of LA’s top studio musicians, which resulted in the concept album Edison Project.
