Line-up for Electric Summer Music Festival announced
The line-up for the first Electric Summer Music Festival on 7 November in Cape Town and 8 November, 2015, in Joburg has been announced. Grammy award-winning UK-based band Clean Bandit will co-headline in both cities, along with electro-pop duo Goldfish.
Cape Town has a venue change to the A-Track next to the Cape Town Stadium and Joburg remains at the idyllic setting of Zoo Lake Sports Club.
Electric Summer is packed with some of 5FM's most charismatic DJs: the King of South African Radio, DJ Fresh, will be part of the Joburg line-up. DJ Fresh is not only known for his booming laugh and larger-than-life radio personality, he is also a skilled producer, entrepreneur, family man and one of SA's most influential club DJs.
Joburg can also look forward to the groovy beats of 5FM's Nick Hamman. The MTN Radio Award winner is passionate about local music and production.
DJ Rob Forbes will be joining the Cape Town line-up. The resident good guy of South African radio not only loves music, but is always armed with a smart comment or a good joke. With over 10 years of on-air experience Forbes is no stranger to playing a jamming set to a packed house.
The 2015 line-up in both cities features national acts, including Al Bairre, PH Fat and Paul Bingham a special appearance by the UK's Lizzie Curious. Jozi will be featuring Kyle Loyd, Vim, Mark Stent and Kyle Watson. The Cape Town line-up will include Yeti, Chris de Vos, and January One vs George Sax.
