International acts confirmed for OppiKoppi

International acts Aloe Blacc (US), Editors (UK) and Wolfmother (Aus) have announced that they are to appear at this year's OppiKoppi Odyssey Festival.
International acts confirmed for OppiKoppi

Joining the list of over 100 of the best South African and international artists and DJs, will be the Wake Me Up co-writer and singer, Aloe Blacc. Aloe Blacc is known for his hit singles I Need A Dollar, which launched his career in early 2010. The Man, his first single off his new album "Lift Your Spirit" is a sweetly boastful single that gives a sly nod to Elton John's Your Song and has already climbed to the top 10 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart in early 2014.

British alternative rock band Editors will be making their debut South African tour to the dustbowl of OppiKoppi. Having released two UK number one albums and two further top-10 UK studio albums, gained numerous awards, and headlined festivals across Europe, fans of the band can expect to hear the tracks: Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors, Munich, Papillon, Sugar and more of the bands best from their 2013 album "The Weight of Your Love".

Straight-shooting modern rock 'n roll

There are few bands out there that better suit the rock 'n roll aesthetics (or lack thereof) of the OppiKoppi tribe than Wolfmother. Straight-shooting modern rock 'n roll with a respectful nudge to the founding fathers, this band comes at OppiKoppi like an open-top gasoline- filled rocket ship looking for a naked flame. Expect chaos.

The band have a brand new recording "New Crown". Like all their previous albums, "New Crown" features what will become rock 'n roll standards such as: She's Got It, Tangerine Dream, I Don't Know Why and more and more and more.

Add a few of these to rock 'n roll classics like: New Moon Rising, Joker And The Thief, Dimension, Woman and it becomes clear why the OppiKoppi family considers this one of their favourite acts of the last decade.
