Bed race - no previous driving experience required
Challenge rivals and showcase your team's strength, determination and 'survivor' skills at this year's Round Table Bed Race taking place on Sunday, 3 September, 2006 at the Kyalami Race Track. Once the race is completed, the hospital beds used to compete in the race will be donated to the needy and the money raised will fund local charities such as orphanages and child care homes.

Participating companies must form a team of five members, four of which carry one 'patient' on the hospital bed. The teams then need to make their way around the race track, dodging obstacles and fellow racers.
The hospital bed may be decorated with company branding or any other theme imaginable. For those companies with a creative flair, there is a 'Best Dressed Bed' award up for grabs.
The entry fee is R2600.00 for a team of five members and includes the use of the hospital bed, T-shirts, medals and, of course, 'race fuel'.
