Vacancy for a dancer at Flatfoot Dance Company
The company have a full annual programme that includes performance seasons both in and out of South Africa, dance education and development programmes, and schools and university dance education work. They work in a contemporary idiom is based on Hawkins, Graham and Release Technique but also do a weekly ballet and pilates or yoga class. All Flatfoot dancers form part of the administration of the company and its programmes and, as such, the new company members will need to be able to write reports and assist with negotiated administrative tasks.
Two years experience
Dancers must have a minimum of two years full or part-time contemporary dance training and/or professional dance work, and proven dance or arts education experience. They must be over the age of 20 years, have writing and administration skills, fluent in English and/or isiZulu, a valid South African passport, be computer literate, and a valid South African driver's licence will be an added benefit.
