Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was named the 66th Miss Universe in Las Vegas on 26 November 2017.
Nel-Peters beat Miss Colombia Laura Gonzalez and Miss Jamaica Davina Bennett and was crowned as the overall winner of the pageant.
This year, almost 100 women from around the globe - including first-timers from Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal – participated in the pageant.
American comic-turned-TV-host Steve Harvey returned to the Miss Universe stage for the third time.
