SA women's hockey heads to China and Europe
China is currently hosting the Investec South African women's hockey squad on a training camp. The squad flew out on 15 May 2013, and will be based at the Chinese Liaoning Navigation Sport School.
The camp forms part of the preparations for the Investec South African women's hockey team's participation in the Investec World League semi-finals tournament in London from 22 to 30 June. A number of players were however unavailable due to injury, work or study commitments.
Meanwhile, a squad of 20 players was named to take part in a training camp from 6 July in the Netherlands. This precedes the announcement of the 18-player national U21 team which will represent SA at the Junior World Cup women's finals from 27 July to 4 August in Monchengladbach, Germany.
