Amajita remain hopeful

With the arrival of two players, Thulani Serero from Ajax Cape Town and Bongani Sondlane from Kaizer Chiefs, the South African National Under 20 Team (Amajita) were looking better before departing for Kenya. But unfortunately the team has lost two players, Sibusiso Mxoyana who is suffering from a hamstring injury and Collin Zulu due to personal problems. But Coach Serame Letsoaka is expecting Kamohelo Mokotjo from Supersport United to join the team before they depart. Coach Letsoaka says that he has also been in discussions with Moroka Swallows and is expecting Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Phumelele “Ace” Bhengu to join the team early next week for the final preparations in Kenya.

“I am grateful that these players (Serero and Sondlane) could join us in camp this will help strengthen our overall squad, It would of course be much better if all the requested players could be available. But we know by now that we will indeed have challenges and like I said before, we will have to make use of the resources that we have available to us and make the best of the situation,” Said Letsoaka.

Amajita will depart tomorrow (Sunday) 11 January from the O.R Thambo International at 2:30. pm for a five-day camp in Kenya and will arrive at approximately 6:30. pm The team will then leave on Friday 16 January for Rwanda. South Africa is in group B with Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Egypt.
