The Sports Trust and The National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund provide sporting equipment.

On 21 February 2009, the municipalities of Ulundi, Nkandla,Jozini, Umhlabuyali, Mtubatuba, Kwadukuza, Ndwedwe in Kwazulu-Natal will receive state-of -the-arts sporting equipment courtesy of The Sports Trust and The National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund.

The handover is a follow up to Sports and Recreation South Africa's “Building for Sports and Recreation Programme” which undertook the challenge of building suitable sports facilities around South Africa. The Sports Trust and The National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund set out to provide some of these facilities with sporting equipment.

The equipment will be handed over at the Westcliff Sports Ground in Chatsworth at 10am on the 21st of February 2009. The equipment will consist of: Portable Soccer posts; Pool tables and athletics equipment (Discuss, Javelins, Shot-puts, Landing Mats, High Jump Uprights and Cross bars)

“The Sports Trust would not be able to supply this equipment without the help that we receive from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund”, said Malulyck.

“We are heavily indebted to them for allowing us to act on the various requests that we receive for funding projects around the country.”

The Sports Trust wishes all the recipients of this equipment many years of success and enjoyment whilst playing their sport.
