Summer is upon us, almost. And we all know what that means: everyone is going to want to be out and about with friends, mingling with locals and tourists alike, and having the best cocktails that Cape Town's finest have to offer. We've rounded up a few places (and not the usual ones on the Camps Bay strip) where you can do just that in the Mother City.

Vista Bar and Lounge at the One&Only Hotel
If you’re up for paying a little bit more for your cocktail with a stunning view of the mountain included, then Vista Bar at the swanky One&Only is the place to go. You can sit inside and admire the views from behind the floor-to-ceiling windows or sit outside on the deck and enjoy the views from there. And who knows, maybe you’ll even spot a celeb or two. It’s well known that One&Only is where the Biebs and other international celebrities spend some of their time while they are in Cape Town.

What’s better than being on Cloud 9? Maybe it’s being on Cloud 9 with drinks in your hand! At the Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel and Spa, there is a rooftop bar that serves up a breathtaking 360° view of the city and Table Mountain. A relatively new location (it only opened in December 2016), Cloud 9 is one of those places that will soon be overrun with guests seeking to take those Insta-worthy images. Better get in there before everyone else does!
Two Oceans Restaurant at Cape Point
Okay, so maybe this one is a bit of a drive away, but if you have family coming into town and you want to take them to Cape Point anyway, then definitely stop by the Two Oceans Restaurant for a cocktail or two. Your out-of-town guests won’t be disappointed. Pro tip for locals: make use of the My Green Card to get a discounted rate at the Cape Point gate or simply pay the R75 entry fee for locals.
