Gugulethu basketballer new Bronx ambassador
Born in Gugulethu, Cape Town, 28-year-old Ntunja is a full-time model and TV presenter by profession, whilst studying towards his Master's Degree in Tourism Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
His secret to staying incredibly fit is basketball - a sport he has played for the past 12 years. He became a member of the South African Basketball team at the age of 16 and has remained a member ever since.
Hoops 4 Hope
In fact Vincent's passion for the game goes way beyond his own personal success. Actively involved in raising funds for an international NGO called “Hoops 4 Hope”, Vincent regularly hosts basketball clinics in his community to teach and empower kids with valuable basketball and life skills. A defining moment in his life came in 2006, when a basketball facility was erected in his name in Gugulethu, in recognition of his devotion and the incredible contribution he's made towards the organisation and his community.
Vincent's involvement with “Hoops 4 Hope” has taken him around the world, to countries including the US, Russia, China, Korea and Morocco.
“We are thrilled to have Vince on board. He is a talented and inspirational individual with a bright future and we look forward to exciting future synergies,” said Wayne Stanford, brand manager for Bronx.
Vincent's new role as a Bronx brand ambassador will see him joining the likes of e.TV sports anchor, Lance Witten.
