Herdbouys McCann-Erickson voted SA's top BEE unlisted company
At a gala event held in Sandton Thursday, 31 March 2005, HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson was awarded the prestigious title of Top Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Unlisted Company in the Annual BusinessMap Foundation BEE Awards.
Commenting on the agency's award, HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson Managing Director, Happy Ntshingila said, "This award is very important to HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson because it's a recognition of our values and commitment towards economic empowerment for black people since the inception of our agency more than a decade ago."
Other finalists in the Top BEE Unlisted Company category included BTI Connex, MxHealth, Sizwe Ntsaluba and Billion.
Each year the BusinessMap Foundation recognises companies that demonstrate best BEE practice in areas such as ownership, management, employment equity, financial structure and corporate social investment. The award categories include, amongst others, Top BEE Market Performer, BEE Deal of the Year, Most Progressive Established Company and Top Commercial Financier of BEE HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson is the only advertising agency to received a BusinessMap Foundation BEE award.
