SA Tourism pays tribute to Mama Africa

She shone brightly in a firmament of international stars and it was thanks, largely, to her dedication, talent and energy that South African music found a foothold in the world, and is celebrated today as a genre, as an integral part of an optimistic lifestyle and as a reflection of the vibrant, passionate and rhythm-filled culture of a nation and a continent.”

She was a legend, he said, and was one of SA's greatest ambassadors.
