VW recalls certain Polo TDi vehicles

Volkswagen of SA (VWSA) requests the 4,836 owners of the affected Polo 1.9l 96kW TDi vehicles produced between January 2005 and May 2008 to contact their nearest Volkswagen dealer to arrange an appointment to have the reliability of the turbo charger assessed.

The inspection may necessitate the replacement of the turbo charger. This will be covered by the manufacturers' warranty in accordance with the terms thereof.

VWSA will attempt to contact all affected Polo 1.9l 96kW TDi owners directly.
