Nestlé opens new production line

The company said the expansion demonstrated its commitment to foreign direct investment in South Africa.

"The additional production line is custom-built to ensure that Nestlé meets the increasing demand in the southern African market.

"This expansion has created additional jobs for the Harrismith community, and this is in line with Nestlé's commitment to created shared value for the communities in which it operates," said MD Yves Manghardt.

Nestlé was also providing institutional support and funding to emerging black farmers in Harrismith district.
