Saving face for surfers

The wildcard in our batch of designs is the Arse/Face towel which has turned out to be a huge hit with the target market and is now available at Glodina stockists as well as through mail order in the magazine and on the Zigzag website for R145.

Zigzag editor Craig Jarvis says: "The theory behind the Arse/Face towel is amazingly simple. When drying yourself down after a surf, you dry your face and your bottom with the same towel and most surfers use the same towel for a week or more before putting it in the wash.

"As most towels don't have clear differentiation between a top end and a bottom end, it's obvious that many people will dry their arse with one end and then dry their face with the same end later in the day or the next day. So to avoid the possibility of getting tiny samples of excreta on your face we've made it all so simple. Dry your face with one end and dry your bottom with the other and never get soiled again."
