According to AMPS 2003A6, CAR magazine is read by an average of 1 072 000 motoring enthusiasts. This is a new record for the title, which, with a market share of just short of 70 per cent, already dominates the South African motoring sector and is the most widely read magazine in its category worldwide: the nearest competitor is an India motoring magazine, which has a market share of 54 percent share in that country.
Meanwhile, CARtoday.com delivered a record 1 038 487 page impressions to 73 767 unique users in August, following an agreement with MSN that saw the CAR website provide content to MSN from July. MSN Cars has reported a 66 percent increase in its unique users since the introduction of the new content.
CARtoday.com's figures continue to show steady growth for the third quarter, with a projected figure of 1 146 845 page impressions for October.
