The Open Book Festival will return to Cape Town on 7-11 September at the Fugard Theatre and the Book Lounge and promises to offer readers access to top authors.

Authors featured on the programme include Teju Cole, NoViolet Bulawayo, Ian Rankin, Lauren Beukes, Zapiro, Margie Orford, Mike Nicol, Anton Kannemeyer, Deon Meyer, Patrick de Witt, Adam Habib, Mongane Wally Serote, Andre Brink, Sindiwe Magona, Pumla Gqoza, Niq Mhlongo, Zakes Mda and more.

For teens, international superstar, Michael Grant, author of Gone and The Magnificent 12 series, will join the audience while award-winning author and illustrator, Polly Dunbar will delight the little ones.
