Limpopo ready for wine show
The producers include award-winning cellars such as Quoin Rock, Vrede en Lust, Raka, Cape Point Vineyards, Ataraxia, Clos Malverne and Spier, supplying around 200 wines - representing a range of different varieties, styles and popular brands.
The wines are available for sampling and purchase for home delivery via Shop@Show. The show's retail service, facilitated by Cybercellar, offers a popular means of stocking up on the Cape's best wines for the year ahead.
With Polokwane only 3½ hours' drive away, Gautengers should consider the wine show as a reason to visit the bushveld province for an end-of-month getaway. The wines and a selection of lodges and accommodation options for a wine weekend visit can be found via www.limpopowineshow.co.za.
The ticket price of R120 includes unlimited tastings and wine tasting glass. A complimentary show guide includes producer information and informative notes on wine variety characteristics, food matching and serving temperatures. Tickets can be purchased online at www.computicket.com, from Money Market counters in Shoprite Checkers stores and at the door
The Limpopo show is one of three regional wine shows directed by wine authority Michael Fridjhon and organised by OutSorceress Marketing. It follows the FNB Mpumalanga Wine Show in April and precedes the FNB Free State Wine Show at Emoya Estate, Bloemfontein, on 1-2 August 2013. All details can be found on www.outsorceress.co.za.
