Dave Nemeth unpacks 2014 Trend Report at Decorex Jhb
One of the country's leading trend analysts and forecasters, his presentation on 7 August at 11am, will highlight the very latest in decorating styles, interpret trends in home décor, the latest global design trends and movements and a technology update.
Nemeth, who is affiliated to the Institute for Interior Design Professions (IID) has said his 2014 Trend Report presentation is in recognition of the exhibition's 20th anniversary and is the ideal platform to present a roundup of the top trends to expect in 2014. "I was there when it all began in 1994, I was working for Peter JA Stuart in one of my first jobs in this industry and I look forward to being part of this year's celebrations."

Nemeth, a furniture designer and interior designer, has worked for some of South Africa's leading fashion and furniture retailers. He is now the owner of Oaklands furniture and design studio, recently selected to furnish the 'chill out' areas for the South African MasterChef series currently on screen. He will also showcase his decorating style in one of the Volvo #MADEFORYOU Designer Pods at Decorex Joburg. Nemeth's recent interior projects include high-end residential as well as boutique restaurant and hotel projects.
As a leading trend consultant, he advises not only the décor and design industry on upcoming trends, but consults to companies on the new ways of doing business by highlighting macro and micro trends that will influence surroundings from retail spaces, office spaces, homes to how one designs and does business.
"Through my experience and extensive research, I believe that I understand the practical realities of retail. Right now, the small independent retailers are getting the experience right - some of our bigger groups have problems," he commented.
