Home Centre to celebrate birthday with flair

Gogela will be cooking up ethnic feasts, while 1000 Hills Chefs School students will be divided into teams and cook off against one another. Each will prepare three dishes to be sampled and voted on by shoppers using the supplied 'Rate the Taste' cards.

There will be live performances by Rene Tshiakanyi, and there'll be loads of great cooking and braaing giveaways. Other entertainment includes a mechanical bull and jumping castle, as well as a beer garden where shoppers can watch the rugby.

To top off the day, the candles on The Home Centre's Birthday cake will be blown out, and all attending will get a slice.

'Food with Flair' will be held on the 8 October 2011, from 9am - 3pm at The Home Centre in Springfield Park.
