The event, at 1 Century Way, Cape Town, is being run in association with Fine Women Business Network and Destiny Magazine, who partner the dealership in a similar women's event.
According to Clifford James, customer relations manager at SMG, the women's event attracted around 900 attendees and, as the event is sponsored, funds raised can be donated to the cause. The event in addition to attracting media coverage also provides the company with sales leads.
The men's event will have a line up of well known performers:
The company is working with the JAG Foundation and a theatre club to get well known sports and theatre personalities at the event as speakers and draw cards.
The venue is divided into three areas, the main stage for performers and the fashion show, a second stage for men's grooming demonstrations and a third stage for the cooking demonstrations. In addition, various companies will interactively display wares, wine, brandy and whiskey demos and a food hall so that attendees can experience products and network with exhibitors. The dealership will offer BMW driver training, its motor cycles, vintage cars and other associated products.
