FinanceRecruit.co.za is an industry specific job board that caters for those looking to work in South Africa's growing financial sector - and those looking to recruit them. Launched in November 2011, the site is the product of two years of intensive IT and systems development, which has resulted in a website that is as easy to use and attractive as it is capable and efficient.

By visiting FinanceRecruit.co.za, candidates, recruiters and companies can find a host of opportunities that will help South Africa develop its global financial footprint. The managing director of FinanceRecruit.co.za, Steven Holvec, said that industry-specific online recruitment sites have become the primary medium of recruitment in Europe and the USA, and it is his aim to ingrain the format in the South African recruitment scene.

"Jobseekers are becoming more and more technically sophisticated," Holvec explained. "They are able to use the internet to their advantage and to find jobs - but this can only work if the jobs are there to be found. A recent survey of candidates looking for finance jobs online found that only 5 per cent of people surveyed had found it easy to track down finance-related roles.

"At FinanceRecruit.co.za, we offer a specific site for the finance and banking sectors, where job seekers know they will be able to find opportunities from the country's top blue-chip financial employers and recruitment agencies, and where employers know that they will attract the attention of people specifically looking for financial roles."

Holvec added that the international scope of the targeted site will also help South Africa address the shortage of the skilled staff it needs to service its growing banking sector, including for audit jobs, retail banking jobs and investment banking jobs. South Africa is already aiming to attract 50,000 skilled migrants annually - the bulk of them in financial services and IT roles - and demand is only increasing, growing at a 21.95 per cent rate in June 2011.

"South Africa is competing with the rest of the world for talent, so we need to be able to efficiently attract and retain the candidates," Holvec said. "FinanceRecruit.co.za is aiming to create a long-term change in how financial services roles are filled in South Africa and bring the best minds from across the continent to help build a bright future for financial services."
