Hemingways Mall ends year on high note
Hemingways Mall in East London, which opened on 24 September 2009, reports year-on-year quarterly turnover and trade density growth increased by 32% Q4:2009-2010, even though 2009 quarter was the opening quarter. December year-on-year growth equates to 20.5%. It also reports significant month on month turnover growth of 8.20%, 13.43% and 84% during October, November and December 2010 respectively, indicating a rising trend, and, a quarterly growth of 51% Q3 to Q4:2010.
This positive trend is also reflected in spend per head growth which increased by 17% December year-on-year. Quarterly spend per head continues to grow with an increase of 34% Q4:2009-2010. The number of shoppers visiting the centre also continues to increase and December saw some 1.2 million shoppers visiting the mall.
