Music journo launches music PR company
This week sees the local launch of a new PR agency aimed at the music industry. Plus 1 Media Productions is the brainchild of well-known journalist, ex-magazine editor, DJ, and erstwhile rock promoter Jon Monsoon.
Monsoon will offer a total solution to both major and independent record labels, production houses, artists and affiliates, in a fusion of high level publicity, knife-edge marketing, pro-event management, tactile multi-media and cliché free design, for a fraction of the price of regular PR agents.
The young agency already has three internationally recognized South African indie record labels on its books, namely, ASP Records, Alter-Ego Records & Beats Me Records.
The Cape Town-based agency has forged close ties to international labels, producers, clubs, media and promoters in the UK, Germany and Sweden, ensuring vast cross-pollination opportunities for upcoming and established acts and artists on both sides.
Development of new and local talent is a high priority for Plus 1 and as such, Plus 1 Media Productions extends its agency services to young, unsigned artists free of charge.
